Luxury Skin & Derma Hospital

India2024Three-storey dermatology and aesthetic hospital

A three-storey luxury dermatology and skin-care hospital with a marble-clad, arch-framed frontage — designed to read as a refined clinical address by day and a softly glowing wellness landmark by night.

The Brief

The client briefed FMDL for a premium skin, derma and aesthetic hospital that could sit comfortably between a high-end clinic and a boutique wellness destination. The scope covered the building envelope, signage zone, arrival forecourt, patient balconies and the side-courtyard service edge for an out-patient and day-care led derma facility.

Design Response

FMDL composed a symmetrical street elevation around a tall central arch carrying the illuminated identity. Twin grey-marble piers, fluted with vertical light reveals and crisp X-pattern wall sconces, frame full-height glazed wings on either side. The double-height entry sits under a slatted timber screen, opening onto a paved forecourt with planters and step-lit treads. Patient rooms on the side elevation are pulled out as wood-fascia balconies, while a quieter side-courtyard with textured stone and lush planting buffers the service zone.

Materials & Approach

Honed grey-marble cladding, fluted plaster reveals with concealed LED strips, slatted teak-finish timber screens and balcony fascias, full-height aluminium-framed glazing, illuminated white channel-letter signage, X-pattern exterior sconces, textured plaster feature wall, and a unit-paved forecourt with integrated step lighting.

Outcome

A luxury derma hospital that signals clinical precision and aesthetic care in the same gesture — a calm, marble-and-timber envelope that performs as a recognisable wellness address at all hours.
